I have a confession to make. I avoided writing on last month’s prompt, as I had no clue what to write.  When it comes to art, I am clueless in every shape and form. By now, you guess I do not have an artistic bone in my body. Now when I saw the title for this month’s prompt I could not help but laugh. I am sure you are curious why the word organise would elicit such a response. Well, organise is not a word people who knows me will use to describe me. Yeah, I am hopeless when it comes to organising. No matter how I try, I can never accomplish the task of organising.

You are probably asking yourself by now then how do I keep track of daily activities. Do not worry you are not alone as I keep asking myself the same question.  I have tried making lists, but I failed at keeping to it. Do not even get me started on schedules and timetables.  Throughout school when my peers organised their study time by creating timetables I tried my hand at it, but it never worked for me. No matter what I did, I could never stick to such a rigid schedule.  By now you figured I studied my subjects based on how I felt, which was a good thing as I got more work done. However, I would find I might spend too much time on one subject to the detriment of the others.

My inability to be organised spilled over into my work life. I failed miserably at being organised especially with record keeping. I would start out on a positive note each month but by the second week I am back to being my disorganised self. You should know that despite this I never missed a deadline.

Then I entered the blogging world. What was I thinking? I started with reading the books I owned, which was great, but then I decided I wanted a greater reach and as a result I signed up with a few tour companies. OMG! That was the biggest mistake a disorganised person like me could have done. Well to cut a long story short, I discovered the error of ways and now I limit the number of tours in which I participate.

Lists and schedules do not work for me. If I even prepare a list of set up a schedule but before you can say the word organise they get thrown out the door. I have given upon those. I have tried using Google calendar; it works to a point but it is not enough for me to suddenly become the poster child for the word organise.
